2 From Region Charged With Endangering Child After 23 Neglected Animals Found In Home A man and woman from the region were charged with animal neglect and endangering a child after 23 animals were found living inside a home that police said was uninhabitable. The incident took place in Sullivan County in the town of Liberty at a residence on Benton Hollow Road on Wednesday, Aug. 16. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, at the scene deputies found the home occupied by 12 dogs, a cat, a genie pig, and nine rabbits for a total of 23 animals.  The structure had no running water. Child Struck, Killed By Car In Danbury Parking Lot A young child was struck and killed by a car in a parking lot in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Danbury around 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 in the area of Shelter Rock Road. 2 Found Dead Inside Home In Region Police are awaiting the results of autopsies after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14 on DeBruce Road in Livingston Manor. Sinking Boat With 5 Passengers Rescued By Greenwich Police Marine Unit A boat that was taking on water with five passengers aboard was rescued by a Fairfield County police marine unit. The incident took place in Greenwich near Great Captain Island, on Long Island Sound on Saturday, Aug. 19, when the vessel ran into trouble. Lt.
