DUI Crash: Speeding 25-Year-Old Norwalk Woman Hits Cruiser, Officer, Pedestrian, Police Say A Fairfield County woman was charged with DUI after allegedly colliding with a parked police car, a pedestrian, and a police officer. The crash took place in Norwalk around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 in the area of 79 Washington St. Norwalk Police officers responded to the area after receiving a report of a driver traveling at a high rate of speed, according to authorities. Bomb Threat At Burger King Leads To Juvenile's Arrest In Hudson Valley, Police Say A called-in bomb threat at a Burger King in the Hudson Valley led to the arrest of a juvenile boy. The incident took place in Orange County in New Windsor around 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25 at the restaurant located at 378 Windsor Highway. Fatal Family Dispute: Hudson Valley Man Admits To Shooting Of 39-Year-Old A Hudson Valley man faces years in prison after pleading guilty to killing another man during a dispute involving family members. Stamford Man Nabbed With Gun After Tip From Resident, Police Say An 18-year-old Fairfield County man was allegedly busted with a gun he carried in a fanny pack after police received a tip. CT Firefighter/EMT Dies After Working 38-Hour Shift A Connecticut firefighter/EMT collapsed and died after working a 38-hour continuous shift, officials said. The North Haven Fire Department made the announcement on Friday, Aug. 25, that Firefighter EMT Anthony Desimone, age 50, had just completed the shift around 6 p.m. when he suffered a medical emergency as he arrived home.
