Lancaster was just 18 years old and four months shy of graduating when he left home in 1943. While serving, Lancaster was awarded a Victory Medal, an American Theater Medal, and a European Theater Medal. Cyganovich has apologized in a July 1 letter to students, parents and teachers after 18 Regents exams were lost. The earth science tests, taken in June by eighth-graders, were found to be missing on June 24, Cyganovich said. Lewisboro OKs Autism Charity's Fall Bike Ride LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Lewisboro has given the thumbs-up to a charity bike ride’s request to pass through town Saturday, Oct. 10, according to the Lewisboro Ledger. The Wall Street Rides FAR (For Autism Research) event raises money for the Autism Science Foundation, the Ledger reported. According to the charity’s website, the ride has three scenic routes: 14, 35 and 62 miles. It begins and ends at Manhattanville College in Purchase. White Plains Fire Department Scores Highest Public Protection Rating WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The White Plains Fire Department has again achieved a Class 1 rating for fire protection services from the Insurance Services Office (ISO), according to Fire Chief Richard L. Lyman. ISO is an independent company that serves fire departments, communities, and other entities by providing information about risk, Lyman said recently.
