Iyengar, an author and inspirational professor at the prestigious Columbia Business School, turns 46 today.
Known for her research on choice, culture and innovation, Iyengar was born in Toronto, Canada, on Nov. 29, 1969.
As a child, she was diagnosed with retinal degeneration. Despite being blind, she went on to pursue higher education and is now the inaugural S.T. Lee Professor of Business in Columbia’s Management Division, according to Wikipedia.

Algonquin Gas Pipeline Foes To Join Global Climate Rally In Peekskill
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Foes of plans to expand the Algonquin natural gas pipeline will demonstrate from 1– 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Peekskill Riverfront Green, according to a report in The Journal News.
They will join a rally marking the start of the Global Climate Summit in Paris, the newspaper said.
According to the report, Spectra Energy’s project was approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in March.
Nine people were arrested on Monday, Nov. 9, in Montrose for protesting in front of the utility, according to media reports.
