Stony Point Library Reopens Children's Room After Flooding Disaster
STONY POINT, N.Y. – The children’s room at the Rose Memorial Library in Stony Point, damaged after a water pipe burst in October, has been reopened, according to a report on lohud.com.
The flood destroyed books in the library's Francis C. Eagan Children's Room and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage, according to media reports.
The library is hosting a grand reopening celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, at the library, 70 E. Main St., Stony Point.

Hillsdale Community Food Bank Matches Funds For #GivingTuesday
HILLSIDE, N.J. – The Hillside-based charity, Community FoodBank of New Jersey, is harnessing the power of social media to help feed hungry families.
Its board of directors and FoodBank friends have offered to match donations -- dollar for dollar, up to a total of $100,000 -- raised through #GivingTuesday, the nonprofit organization said.
The global event, a one-day charitable giving promotion, is this Tuesday, Dec. 1.
More than 4.7 million times a year, the FoodBank and its partner charities feed someone in need in New Jersey each year, it said.
