Bedford's Lemkau Named To Goldman Sachs Management Committee
BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Goldman Sachs has named Bedford resident Gregg Lemkau to its elite group of bankers, according to a report in Business Insider.
Lemkau will be joining the firm’s management committee, the report said.
Based in New York, Lemkau joined Goldman Sachs in 1992 and is currently co-head of global mergers and acquisitions, Business Insider reported.
Before that, he headed mergers and acquisitions for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, the report said.

Bronxville Celebrates Auditorium¹s Grand Opening With Music, Accolades
BRONXVILLLE, N.Y. -- The Bronxville School celebrated the grand opening of its new auditorium with music and accolades, school officials said.The celebration featured performances by members of the Bronxville High School’s chorus, orchestra, and band.
The PTA, Bronxville School Foundation, and private donors who were instrumental in the renovation project’s success, were recognized from the stage at the Wednesday, Dec. 16, event.

Pleasantville Group Gives 'Silver Award' To 25 Orange, Ulster Girl Scouts
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Twenty-five Girl Scouts, who have earned Silver Awards, were feted at a recent ceremony by Heart of the Hudson, the scouting organization’s regional office in Pleasantville, said its CEO, Pam Andersen.
The ceremony was held on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Orange-Ulster BOCES in Goshen, Andersen said.
The Silver Award is the second highest award girls can earn in Girl Scouting, and the highest award attainable at the middle school level.

Westport Church To Serve Up Holiday Lunch On Christmas Day
WESTPORT, Conn. – The Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport is hosting a community reception on Christmas Day.
The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25 in the church’s Hoskins Hall.
It features a light lunch, holiday treats, live music, and a visit from Santa Claus.
