Asking Price For Mel Gibson's Former Greenwich Estate Cut To $27.5M
GREENWICH, Conn. -- Actor Mel Gibson’s former Greenwich digs, a lush spread of more than 75 acres with its own tennis court, stables, and life-sized outdoor chessboard, is being sold at a discount, according to a report in the Greenwich Time.
The estate, which was bought from Westchester, N.Y. native Gibson six years ago by a Stamford lawyer and his wife, was going for a cool $31.5 million last January but has since had its asking price reduced to a mere $27.5 million, the Greenwich Time story said.

Rockland's Newest Legislator Is Teacher, Firefighter, Mom
NEW CITY, N.Y. -- One of Rockland’s newest legislators wears many hats, according to a report by lohud.com.
Laurie Santulli, a Congers resident who was elected to the Legislature last fall, is a teacher, a mother, and a firefighter, the lohud article said.
She told lohud that she feels all three roles have given her a unique perspective on educational, and other, issues affecting the county today.

Several People Hospitalized In White Plains After Apparent K-2 Usage
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- A inexpensive, powerful, and dicey street drug known as K-2 may be to blame for several likely overdoses in downtown White Plains Monday, Jan. 25, according to a report by News12.
Police told News12 that four people who were taken to the hospital may have smoked the synthetic cannabis.
K-2, also known as Spice, consists of chemicals sprayed on cardboard or herbal-based materials.
Supposedly it has the sedating effects of pot, but can spark violent and unpredictable behavior in users, according to police and health officials.
