Stepping Stones Cries Foul Over Bedford Permitting Process
KATONAH, N.Y. – Lawyers for Stepping Stones, the former home of the couple who founded Alcoholics Anonymous, have accused the Town of Bedford of discrimination, according to a report by lohud.com.
The house, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is open for tours and also hosts an annual picnic.
Stepping Stones is arguing that its mission is being compromised by an onerous permit process and, furthermore, it is deliberately being treated differently than other nonprofits, such as the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, the lohud.com story said.

WILTON, Conn. – Wilton’s grand list is a bit higher than it was last year, according to a report by wiltonbulletin.com.
The $4.3 billion list represents an increase of 0.2 percent from 2014 to 2015, the bulk of which can be attributed to real estate, wiltonbulletin.com reported.
There are about 5,338 single-family homes and 542 condos behind the total residential value of $3.2 billion, an increase of 0.6 percent; commercial property, by itself, was valued at $601 million, up by 0.1 percent, wiltonbulletin.com reported.
