Two Homeless People Arrested In Separate Disturbances In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. -- An intoxicated woman was arrested after she pitched a fit in a Danbury store when a clerk refused to sell her beer, according to a report by the Danbury News-Times. Jessica Anastasia, 22, who is homeless pushed the employee of Lulu’s Market, cursed, threw food, and attacked a witness when he tried to call authorities, police told the Danbury News-Times. She was charged assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief, the Danbury News-Times article said. Poughkeepsie Closes Schools Tuesday For Slain Student's Services POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Schools will be closed in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday so students and staff can attend the funeral of the high school student who was gunned down in the city last week, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal. Caval Haylett Jr., an 18-year-old basketball star and honor roll student, was mortally wounded Wednesday night as he stood with a group of people on Winnikee Avenue, according to multiple media reports. Ramapo Police Recover Stolen Mini-Bike, Arrest Two RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police were able to recover a stolen mini-bike this week after they stopped a driver for allegedly having a suspended registration. Police said that they pulled over the unidentified 27-year-old and his 20-year-old passenger, both from Spring Valley, and charged them with fifth-degree possession of stolen property. They also face felony charges because the vehicle identification number on the mini-bike had been defaced, police said.
