She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Man, Woman Found Dead In CT Home A man and woman were found dead in a Connecticut home after police responded to a report of two unresponsive people with gunshot wounds. The two were found in New Haven around 8:16 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 14 in the 700 block of Russell Street. According to Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police, police found a 52-year-old woman and a 62-year-old who were both pronounced dead by fire department personnel. A firearm was located and collected. Stamford Woman Nabbed Going 125 MPH On I-95 In Greenwich, Police Say A 31-year-old Fairfield County woman was stopped by Connecticut State Police driving 125 mph in a 55 mph zone. The incident took place in Greenwich on I-95 near Exit 4 around 12:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 15. Genesis Rosado-Inga, of Stamford, was stopped after troopers spotted her BMW traveling erratically, state police said. After troopers determined the car was traveling at least 125 mph they initiated a traffic stop. 2 Hudson Valley Fire Department Employees Charged With Grand Larceny Two employees of a Hudson Valley fire department have been charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing more than $17,000. The theft took place in Orange County from the Washington Heights Volunteer Fire Company in Middletown, said Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police. According to Nevel, Gordon Healy, age 52 from the town of Wallkill, and Lynn Simpson, age 40, from the city of Middletown were charged on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Norwalk Man Dressed In Camo With Gun Apprehended, Police Say A Fairfield County man dressed in full camouflage carrying what appeared to be an AK-47 was nabbed lying prone on a city bike path. The incident took place in Norwalk around 9:15 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 14 at the intersection of Maple Street and Van Buren Avenue. Officers responded to the area after receiving several calls and found Brandon Wagshol, age 26, of Norwalk, lying prone on the bike path to the rear of Lynes Place, said Sgt. Fatal Crash: 54-Year-Old ID'd As Victim After Car Drives Off Highway A 54-year-old Connecticut man was killed during a one-car crash after driving off the highway. The collision took place in New Haven County around 8:50 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13 in the area of 215 Perkins Ave., in Waterbury. Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police said the vehicle traveled off the roadway and into a wooded area before it came to a stop. Traffic Alert: I-84 To Close One Lane In Hudson Valley For Repaving A busy Hudson Valley roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction to accommodate paving and guide rail replacement. Stamford Store Among Trio Of New CT Whole Foods Markets In 2024 For those who enjoy fresh, organic foods, the news that three new Whole Foods markets will be coming to Connecticut next year is a big deal. In Fairfield County, the new store is being built in Stamford at 110 High Ridge Road (Route 104), according to the CT Insider. It replaces the old Lord & Taylor store that closed in 2021. 13-Year-Old Charged In Hudson Valley Middle School Stabbing A 13-year-old boy has been charged with stabbing another 13-year-old at a Hudson Valley middle school.
