Dad, 8-Year-Old Boy Shot At, Gunman Crashes On I-476: State Police
A gunman who shot at a father and his young son on I-476 was hospitalized after their vehicles collided in Delaware County Friday afternoon, March 1, authorities said. The 41-year-old man and his 8-year-old boy were driving on the northbound side of the highway when a 62-year-old man in a blue Honda Civic shot at them near milepost 12 in Radnor Township, around 12:30 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police said. Both cars then crashed, with the suspect vehicle found disabled on a hill on the right shoulder. The driver, the alleged gunman, was being treated in an ambulance when troopers arrived…

VA Man Found Dead In Tractor Trailer Along I-78 In PA
A 67-year-old Virginia man was found dead inside of his tractor trailer in Pennsylvania Friday, March 1, the county coroner said. Larry H. Harris Jr.'s trailer was found parked and secured near the Exit 45 off ramp on the westbound side of I-78, in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County around 11 a.m., Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. An autopsy will be performed on Monday, March 4, 2024 to determine the cause of death, which was not considered suspicious, Buglio said. The Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville station is also investigating.

Vacant Somerset County Nursing Home Destroyed By Fire
A Somerset County nursing home under construction was ravaged by a multi-alarm fire Friday night, March 1, firefighters said. More than 100 firefighters were called to Complete Care at Willow Creek on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township around 8:15 p.m., where smoke was emitting from the back of the property, sources and local police said. The Manville FD said this was an unoccupied nursing home undergoing renovation. Local police said the property has been unoccupied since Hurricane Ida and is under construction.
