Norwalk Community College Opens Registration For Summer Session III
NORWALK, CONN. – Norwalk Community College is now registering students for its summer session.
Summer Session III, which lasts five weeks, starts Monday.
Courses being offered are: biology, chemistry, communication and speech, computer applications, health and medical, criminal justice, early childhood education, economics, English, English as a second language, interdisciplinary studies, mathematics, and history.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle High School of Religion will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a host of events and activities.
“Relig,” as the small youth organization is known, primarily serves Catholic teens in New Rochelle, but also welcomes young people from all religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. It’s motto: “Where Jesus comes first and people are special.”

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Bertram James Askwith, of Harrison, died Monday, June 1, in New York City. He was 104.
Askwith, who was known as Bert, was born in Battle Creek, Mich., in 1911, to Herbert and Margaret (Long) Askwith.
A graduate of the University of Michigan in 1931, Askwith was the founder and president of Campus Coach Lines, where he continued to work full-time until his death. He was also the founder and president of Campus and Pocono Travel Service of New York City and White Plains.

Stamford Man Faces DWI Charges After Upstate New York Arrest
CLARKSON, N.Y. – Darwin O. Ruano, 31, of Stamford, Conn., was arrested early Monday in Clarkson, N.Y., and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, State Police said.
Police said they initially stopped Ruano around 1:28 a.m. on Route I-87 for a traffic violation. He was taken to State Police barracks in New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.09 percent, according to Maj. Evelyn P. Mallard of Troop T.
Ruano, who was released to a third party, is to appear in Town of Clarkson Court on July 13, police said.
