Fahey Jr., a former resident who died in 2011 in Afghanistan, state Sen. Terrence Murphy said Tuesday. Ginsburg Pitches New Plans To Develop Peekskill's St. Mary's Convent PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Developer Martin Ginsburg is again pitching plans to turn the former St. Mary’s Convent in Peekskill into apartments and townhouses, according to lohud.com. The $50 million project – which would also include an inn, spa and hiking trails – could make the city into a tourist destination, Ginsburg told the Peekskill City Council this week, lohud said. Ginsburg Development Companies bought the land in 2003, but development plans unveiled in 2007 had to be set aside due to a downturn in the housing market, lohud reported. Stamford Man Faces DWI Charges After Upstate New York Arrest CLARKSON, N.Y. – Darwin O. Ruano, 31, of Stamford, Conn., was arrested early Monday in Clarkson, N.Y., and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, State Police said. Police said they initially stopped Ruano around 1:28 a.m. on Route I-87 for a traffic violation. He was taken to State Police barracks in New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.09 percent, according to Maj. Evelyn P. Mallard of Troop T. Ruano, who was released to a third party, is to appear in Town of Clarkson Court on July 13, police said.
