Norwalk's MTC School Of Performing Arts Stages 'Sleeping Beauty'
NORWALK, Conn. – “Sleeping Beauty,” an original musical based on the classic fairy tale, will be presented Friday in Norwalk by performing arts students from the Music Theatre of Connecticut.
Showtimes are 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Melissa and Doug Theatre at MTC, 509 Westport Ave.

Woof! Young Readers, Therapy Dogs Bond Over Books At Kent Library
KENT, N.Y. -- Therapy Dogs International will bring its Paws for Reading program to the Kent Public Library this summer.
On select Thursday and Fridays in July and August, children, ages 6-10, will be able to improve their reading skills and gain confidence by reading aloud to therapy dogs, the library said.
The program is free but registration is required and appointments must be made for the one-on-one, 15-minute sessions.

VA Hudson Valley Holds Open House At Castle Point Campus
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. – An Open House will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Castle Point campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, according to public affairs officer Jason Tudor.
The “Summer of Service” event is intended, Tudor said, to give the public and community partners the chance to explore volunteer and employment opportunities at the VA.
