New Haven Man Face Drug Charges After Westport Traffic Stop WESTPORT, Conn. -- A New Haven man faces drug possession charges after he was arrested in Westport on Friday, police said. Charles Covington, 38, was driving on Duck Pond Road when he was stopped by police, authorities said. Police said that the officer, who reported smelling the odor of marijuana, investigated further and found that one of the vehicle’s occupants was in possession of 24 small bags of marijuana, 38 narcotic pills, and $2,285 in cash. Mount Vernon Students Immerse Themselves In Korean Language, Culture MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Dozens of students have immersed themselves in all things Korean by participating in a special program at Mount Vernon High School, according to a report in The Mount Vernon Inquirer. Their primary focus was the language, but along the way they also learned about the country’s culture and traditions, the report said.
