Lawyer Dennis Bradley Named Head Of Bridgeport School Board
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Dennis Bradley, a member of the Connecticut Working Families Party, will head the Bridgeport Board of Education, according to a report in ctpost.com
Elected as one of the board’s newest members in November, the 31-year-old attorney will be its third chairman in as many years, the report said.
The decision to appoint Bradley, a Democrat, came at an organizational meeting on Monday, Dec. 7, ctpost reported.

New York Times Profiles Easton Man Who's Restoring Horse Farm
EASTON, CONN. – An Easton man, who is fulfilling his dream of owning a home in the country, has been profiled in The New York Times.
In this case, the home in question belonged to his neighbor, a socialite who raised thoroughbred horses.
Suni Munshani, a 54-year-old technology entrepreneur who lives in the Fairfield County town with his family, had long admired Ruth Thomas Bedford’s farm, the Times reported.
When Bedford died in 2014 just one year shy of 100, Munshani bought the farm, the report said.
So far he has spent about $1 million fixing it up; he plans to fork more than $6 million…
Bridgeport Military Academy Cadets Win Trophy At First Drill Meet
BRIDGEPORT, CONN. -- Young cadets from the Bridgeport Military Academy recently participated in their very first drill meet, school officials said.
According to retired Navy Capt. Bill Glass, an instructor at the school, they took home a trophy for outstanding sportsmanship.
The meet, which was held Saturday, Nov. 21, at Bethel High School in Bethel drew hundreds of cadets from 19 other schools around the region.
Thirty BMA cadets competed for honors in the following categories: unarmed drill, color guard, academic team, and marksmanship.

Carlucci To Join Discussion Of Hudson Documentary Tonight In Nyack
NYACK, N.Y. -- Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) will be part of panel discussion tonight (Tuesday, Dec. 8), at a Nyack screening of a documentary about the Hudson River.
Riverkeeper, an environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting the river, is sponsoring the free event.
It starts at 7 p.m. at the Nyack Center, 58 Depew Ave.
“The Hudson: A River at Risk,” is a three-part documentary by Oceans 8 filmmaker, journalist, author, and adventurer Jon Bowermaster.
