Westport Mourns Death of 14-Year-Old Staples Student, Boy Scout
WESTPORT, Conn. – Students at Staples High School in Westport returned from their winter break to the sad news of the death of one of their own, according to a report in the Westport News.
Wrestling team member and Boy Scout Christopher Lanni, 14, died on Wednesday, Dec 23, in at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the Westport News said.
Students and faculty observed a moment of silence in Christopher’s memory after classes resumed Monday, Jan. 4, and grief counselors will be made available to anyone who needs them, the Westport News said.

Stratford Mayor Appoints Town Attorney, Chief Administrative Officer
STRATFORD, Conn. -- Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins has appointed two new members of his administration, according to a report in the Stratford Star.
Milford-based lawyer Christopher Hodgson is now the town attorney, and Christopher Tymniak is the town’s new chief administrative officer, the Star reported.
Tymniak, who had worked for Gov. Jodi Rell, had left his job as the chief administrative officer for Ansonia in order to run for the first selectman’s spot in Fairfield, the newspaper reported. His bid was unsuccessful, the story said.

Weston Appoints Bernhard, Sullivan To Town Counsel Spots
WESTON, CONN. – G. Kenneth Bernhard, an attorney with expertise in municipal and real estate law, has been reappointed as town counsel by the Weston Board of Selectmen, according to The Weston Forum.
Bernhard, who held the position from 2000-09, is currently the town attorney for Wilton, according to his LinkedIn page. He has also served at town attorney for Westport. And from 1997 to 2005, he was Westport's state representative and served as assistant minority leader in Connecticut's General Assembly, his LinkedIn biography said.

Mass. Woman Surrenders In Wilton Harassment Case
WILTON, Conn. -- A Massachusetts woman, wanted on charges of harassment and violating a restraining order, was arrested at Wilton police headquarters last month, according to a report in the Wilton Bulletin.
Jeanne Tienken, of Belmont, Mass., turned herself in after learning of the warrant, the Bulletin report said.
She was held on a bond of $25,000 and arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court, the report said.

Public's Help Sought In Search For Missing Blauvelt Cat
BLAUVELT, N.Y. -- Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley, an online community that works to reunite wayward cats and dogs with their owners, is asking for the public’s help is finding Waterman, a tabby who strayed from his Blauvelt home.
The 4-year-old male, who responds to his name and who really likes Fancy Feast kitty food, his owner says, went missing on Thursday, Dec. 31, between the Rockland Psychiatric Center on Convent Road and Houter’s Farm,
