NYC Brothers Get 5 Years In Prison In Trumbull Heroin Case
TRUMBULL, Conn. -- Two New York City brothers busted in a Trumbull drug sting will serve five years in federal prison for heroin trafficking, according to U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Deirdre M. Daly.
Jimmy Estevez, 25, of Brooklyn, and his brother, Miguel, “Domi,” 27, of the Bronx, were both sentenced in Hartford on Tuesday, Feb. 2, to 60 months behind bars, to be followed by four years of supervised release, Daly announced.

Unlocked Car With Keys Inside Stolen From Wilton Driveway
WILTON, Conn. — A car stolen from the driveway of a home in Wilton had been left unlocked with the keys inside, police said.
The car’s owner told authorities that the Audi was taken from their home on Westport Road sometime between Saturday, Feb. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 28.
The stolen car was recovered in New Haven, police said.
Also, a wallet and debit card inside the car were taken, police said. Police did not say whether those items were recovered as well.

Spring Valley Teens Charged In Stolen License Plates Case
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Two teenagers were arrested this week in Ramapo after they were caught in a car with stolen license plates, police said.
The unidentified boys, 17 and 19 years old respectively, were stopped early Monday, Feb. 1, on College Road by a Ramapo officer who had received a hit for a stolen vehicle on his unit’s license-plate reader, police said.
It turned out, police said, that the car was not stolen, but the license plates belonged to another car that had been taken in Monsey about two weeks ago.

Man Charged With Striking Female Passenger On I-87
ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- A Queens man, who authorities said roughed up a woman and forced her out of his car in Elmsford last month, now faces assault charges, according to New York State Police.
William B. Rodriguez Jr., 29, of Maspeth, turned himself in to state police last month, police said.
