Bridgeport Man Charged In Danbury Car Theft
BRIDGEPORT, N.Y. – A Bridgeport man is facing charges of third-degree larceny after, police said, he stole a car in Danbury in the wee hours Sunday, according to a report on WLAD.com.
Victor Estaban Jeronimo-Garcia, 28, was arrested a short distance away from the scene of the crime, the WLAD.com report said.
A woman attending a party on Main Street had left her car unlocked and running outside the house around 3 a.m. and when she came back, it was gone, the WLAD.com report said.
Jeronimo-Garcia was also charged with interfering with a police officer, the WLAD.com report said.

Poughkeepsie Bookstore Writes Final Chapter
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Bookworm -- a used-book haven, especially for paperback lovers -- has reached its final chapter, according to a post on its Facebook page.
The shop, which allows customers to trade books for store credit, will be closing its doors for the last time on June 18.
Open for 25 plus years, The Bookworm says that while the books for credit deal is now suspended, those with credit already can still use it. However, it said in its post, there will be no refunds if the credit is not used up by June 19.

The ever-popular stars of the hit HGTV show, “Property Brothers,” Drew and Jonathan Scott, will be returning to Westchester County to film another season, according to HGTV.
The reality show, which helps homebuyers purchase and renovate homes, begins shooting on Monday, April 18, and 16 houses will be featured, the lohud.com report said.

Two Charged In Yorktown With Peddling Without A License
YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Two Chicagoans were arrested in Yorktown recently for peddling without a permit, police said.
Yusuf Abdul-Hakim, 46, and Michael W. Bryant, 49, were soliciting business for something called Urgent Care, in the area of Hedwig Drive early Friday, April 1, police said.
Police were called to the scene by a resident reporting two suspicious men were going door-to-door.
The two did not have a permit to peddle, which is a violation of town code, police said.
