Spring Valley Man Charged With Threatening Suffern Woman
SUFFERN, N.Y. – A 25-year-old Spring Valley man has been charged with threatening his ex-girlfriend and violating an order of protection she had against him, Suffern police said.
The unnamed suspect had been arrested in February after, police said, he broke into the woman’s Suffern apartment and beat her up while her toddler was sleeping nearby.
The man faced multiple charges in the February case, including burglary, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Bridgeport Man Pleads Guilty In Fatal 2015 Shooting
BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – A Bridgeport man has pleaded guilty in a shooting that left one man dead and another injured, according to a report by The Connecticut Post.
Efraim Rivera, 40, fatally shot Miguel Martinez, 34, and wounded his brother, Jose, on Ogden Street last May, The Connecticut Post reported.
Police told The Connecticut Post there had been a longstanding feud between the Rivera and the Martinez families and Miguel Martinez had just been released from prison, where he had been serving time for robbery.

Police Seek Suspects In Orangeburg Car Break-Ins
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Two cars were broken into at Veterans Memorial Park in Orangeburg on Monday afternoon, Orangetown police said.
Thieves smashed the driver’s side windows on each vehicle and stole a pocketbook, wallet, cash and credit cards, police said.
The stolen items – except for the cash – were recovered at a park in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., police said.
The thieves, if caught, face charges of grand larceny and criminal mischief, police said.

Orangeburg, Pearl River Motorists Face DWI Charges, Police Say
ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Two motorists were facing charges of driving while intoxicated after traffic stops this past weekend, Orangetown police said.
Anthony Morales, 23, of Pearl River, was arrested in the hamlet on Saturday, April 9, by officers investigating a one-car accident, police said.
Morales failed field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test at the station, police said.
He is due in court on Wednesday, May 4, police said.

Monroe Man Charged In Home Depot Thefts; Other Arrests Expected
TRUMBULL, CONN. -- A work crew has been accused of really cleaning up by stealing thousands of dollars in tools and other merchandise from a Home Depot in Trumbull, according to a report by The Trumbull Times.
Arrested on Sunday, April 10, and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny were Santiago Gonzalez, 22, of Bridgeport, and Jerel Santamaria, 21, of Monroe, The Trumbull Times reported.
