State Sen. Terrence Murphy, R-Yorktown, wrote to the state commissioner of agriculture and markets recently, asking the agency to yank Richard Doyle’s license pending the outcome of an investigation into the charges in Connecticut. Teen Employee Charged With Stealing Cash From Yorktown Kmart YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old Putnam Valley girl is facing charges of petit larceny, Yorktown police said. The unidentified teen, whose name was withheld because she could be eligible for youthful offender status, was accused of stealing $41.97 in cash from her employer, Kmart, police said. The store is located on Downing Drive in Yorktown Heights. The teen was arrested and later released on her own recognizance, police said. She is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, May 17 to answer the misdemeanor charge, police said.

Police said they received a call around 5:30 p.m. about smoke coming from a house on Lincoln Street in the village. No residents were inside the house at the time of the fire, police said.
