Peekskill Man Pleads Guilty In Heroin Death Of 23-Year-Old WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Peekskill resident has admitted supplying the fentanyl-laced heroin that killed a 23-year-old Buchanan man, according to Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Lakuan Rhyne, also known as "Rico,” was the leader of a drug trafficking ring in that sold heroin, crack and cocaine in Westchester County in 2014, Bharara said. Rhyne, 24, pleaded guilty to conspiracy Thursday in federal court in White Plains. Police Seek Suspect In Robbery, Stabbing Of Yonkers Cabbie YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers cabdriver was stabbed and robbed early Thursday, according to multiple media reports. According to lohud.com and News12, the unidentified 64-year-old victim was taking a fare to Cedar Place when the man demanded money, slashed him in the stomach with a knife and fled. State Troopers Fire Shots As Suspect In Greenwich Car Theft Tries To Flee GREENWICH, Conn. – A suspect in the theft of a car from Greenwich turned the vehicle into a battering ram as he tried to avoid arrest Wednesday night in Hartford, State Police said. The car owner's cellphone was still in the vehicle when the suspect drove off with it, State Police said. Dover Plains Man Stopped For Not Wearing Helmet Charged With DWI DOVER, N.Y. – A Dover Plains man, who was stopped for riding a two-wheeled motor vehicle without a helmet, is now facing felony charges of driving while intoxicated, state police said. Marvin Odom was arrested on Wednesday around 10 a.m. by a trooper who determined that he was intoxicated, police said. Police said Odom had three previous DWI convictions. He was arraigned in Town of Dover Court and sent to Dutchess County Jail on $15,000 bail or $25,000 bond, police said. Odom is scheduled to appear in court early next month.
