American currency will undergo one of the biggest sea changes in modern memory, with abolitionist Harriet Tubman replacing Andrew Jackson as the face of the $20 bill, according to multiple media reports. Rape Suspect Sought By Clarkstown Police
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – Clarkstown police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a rape case. Jorge Mejia-Fuentes, 39, whose last known address was Depew Avenue in Nyack, is described by police as 5 feet 8 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. Rockland Prepared For Indian Point Emergency, County Officials Say
NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Rockland emergency workers held an exercise recently to rehearse their roles in case something happens at the Indian Point nuclear power plant. More than 100 people took part in a mock drill Tuesday at the Fire Training Center in Pomona. The drill was led by Nicholas A. Longo, Jr., program coordinator at Rockland Fire and Emergency Services. STAMFORD, CONN. -- A bomb threat aimed at an office park in Stamford may have been a swatting incident, police told The Stamford Advocate Wednesday.
