New York Times Spotlights Ossining's Sing Sing Prison OSSINING, N.Y. -- Sing Sing -- the famed prison that has housed the likes of spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, cannibal Hamilton Howard “Albert” Fish, and numerous fictitious felons -- is a point of pride for Ossining, according to a report by The New York Times. Senator, Local Groups Set Earth Day Celebration At Yonkers Garden YONKERS, N.Y. -- Folks who are willing to dress to get dirty can come learn the basics of community gardening at an Earth Day celebration in Yonkers this week. State Sen. 12 Women Of Distinction Honored In Tuckahoe TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin of Scarsdale honored a dozen Tuckahoe women at ceremonies on Sunday, April 17. Paulin said the recipients of her Tuckahoe Women of Distinction awards were: Susan Ciamarra, Fay Blasi, Alice White, Swadesh Pachnanda, Stephanie Rusnak, Nicole Pushkal, Janna Coneybeare, Karen Kelly, Clare Gorman, Patricia Morgan, Sheila Clarke, and Camille DiSalvo. Trump's Stormville Golf Club Wins Tax-Assessment Cut EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- Donald Trump has gotten the assessed value of his Stormville golf club reduced to $4.6 million, down from its previous $6 million, according to a report by The Poughkeepsie Journal. Last year, the Republican presidential candidate filed a grievance, trying to get the assessment of the 300-acre club located on Stormville Road cut to $2 million, or by 66 percent, The Poughkeepsie Journal reported. 3 Hospitalized With Likely Heroin Overdoses, Bridgeport Police Say BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Three people were taken to the hospital Monday after they apparently overdosed on heroin at a home in Bridgeport, according to police. Police said they were called to a home on Jefferson Street about 3:30 a.m. when they found the three victims. Naloxone, also known as Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of opioids, was used to help them, police said. Police are still investigating, and no further details were available.
