Spring Valley Woman Faces DWI Charges After Ramapo Arrest
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley woman is facing charges of driving while intoxicated after she was arrested in the parking lot of a school on Viola Road on Sunday, May 1, police said.
The unidentified 36-year-old was also charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Police said they also investigated several motor vehicle accidents Sunday.
Their locations were Route 17, Ramapo; Monsey Boulevard, Monsey; Route 45, New Hempstead; Route 45, Hillcrest; College Road,Tallman; Route 59, Airmont; and Monsey Boulevard, Spring Valley.

Albany insiders have been rattled by the news that two of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s closest former aides are being targeted by a federal probe, multiple media reports said.
Joseph Percoco, who worked on Cuomo’s 2014 campaign, and then as his executive deputy secretary, left that post a few months ago to take a job with Madison Square Garden, the Daily News and other media outlets said.

EPA Fines Yonkers Rail Car Plant $71,120 For Improperly Stored Toxic Waste
YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Kawasaki Rail Car plant, which has operated on the Yonkers waterfront for nearly 30 years, has been penalized for improperly storing toxic waste such as paints and solvents.
Under the recent settlement reached by the Environmental Protection Agency and the company, Kawasaki will pay a fine of $71,120.
Kawasaki, which is located at 29 Wells Ave., makes rail cars for Metro-North Railroad, the New York City subway system, and the Long Island Railroad.
