Fairfield Man Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home, Threatens Her With Knife, Police Say A 58-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a house with a knife of a Fairfield County woman he dated and threatened violence. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30. According to Lt. Trio Nabbed With Drugs, Gun At Inn In Region, Police Say Three men were charged with various drug possession charges following a warrants raid on an inn in the region. The warrants search occurred in Sullivan County in Monticello at the Monticello Inn around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28. 2 Children Hit By Vehicle On Busy CT Roadway Two children ages 7 and 9 were struck by a vehicle on a busy Connecticut roadway.  The incident took place in New Haven County around 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 in the area of 150 Sunnyside Ave., Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the children were both struck and injured. The driver stayed on the scene. Both children were transported to Waterbury Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and were considered to be in stable condition, Bessette said. This accident remains under investigation.

Hudson Valley 24-Year-Old Nabbed With Gun During Warrant Search, Police Say A 24-year-old from the region is behind bars after allegedly being caught with a loaded weapon during a warrant search. Dutchess County resident Jakai Rivera, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon on Wednesday, Nov. 22 during the search in the town of Poughkeepsie, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. Hicks said Rivera was in illegal possession of a loaded Glock model 21C handgun.
