She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Driver Seriously Injured Crashing Into CT Home A motorist was seriously injured after a car left the roadway and crashed into a house in Connecticut. The in Hartford County incident took place around 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in Rocky Hill. According to Sgt. CT Man Charged With Violating Protective Order, Assault A 23-year-old Connecticut man is behind bars for allegedly violating a protective order by contacting the victim and assaulting them, even dragging them with his vehicle. Dometrius Cox, of New Haven, was charged on Thursday, Nov. 30 in Milford. Speeding 22-Year-Old Nabbed In Wilton For DUI, Driving On Suspended License, Police Say A speeding 22-year-old Fairfield County man was charged with allegedly driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. Pedro Jesus Aguilar Madrid, of Stamford, was stopped on Thursday, Nov. 23, in Wilton driving a Ford Fusion for driving 68 mph in a 30 mph zone, said Wilton Police. Hudson Valley 17-Year-Old Charged With Possession Of Stolen Gun A Hudson Valley teen has been remanded to jail after allegedly being caught with a 45 caliber semi-automatic handgun following a shooting between two groups of teens. The unnamed Dutchess County juvenile was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 29 by the city of Poughkeepsie Police following an investigation into the incident on Tuesday, Nov. 21, where gunfire grazed one teen. Pickpocket Thief Working Darien Trader Joe's, Police Say In the past two weeks, two women have had their wallets stolen out of their purses while shopping at a Fairfield County supermarket. Man Accused Of Trying To Cash Forged Checks At Bank In Wilton A 48-year-old man was captured after a months-long investigation into identity theft and larceny at a Fairfield County bank. James Greco, of Wynantskill, New York, located in Rensselaer County, was charged on Tuesday, Nov. 21 on a warrant for the July incident at a Wilton bank. According to Lt. Duo Wanted For Norwalk Car Burglaries, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two people allegedly responsible for several vehicle burglaries and cashing some $30,000 in fake checks using the car owner's identity. The Norwalk Detective Bureau said the two are responsible for burglarizing several vehicles parked on Muller Avenue on Nov. 8, said Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police. Hudson Valley Man Charged With Homicide In Fentanyl Death A Hudson Valley man has been charged with homicide for allegedly selling fentanyl to a man who later died. Orange County resident Timothy Lempicki, age 36, of Washingtonville, a village in Blooming Grove, was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, Nov. 30. According to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler, Lempicki was also charged with manslaughter, and criminal sale of a controlled substance.
