Man Grabs Teen While She Walks Home From School On Long Island: Police A homeless man was arrested after he harassed a young Long Island girl trying to walk home from school, authorities said. It happened on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 2:50 p.m., a 14-year-old girl was walking on Merrick Road, on her way home from John F. Robbers Slash Victim's Neck, Flee From Long Island Incident: Police Police are on the lookout for a duo of thieves who they say cut a man’s throat during a Long Island robbery. It happened on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in Hempstead, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 3 a.m., the victim, a 57-year-old man, was walking north on North Franklin Street near the intersection of Fulton Avenue when the duo approached. $42K Wage Theft Scheme: Long Island Company Charged For Stealing From Employees, DA Says A Long Island man, along with his company, has been charged with multiple counts in relation to a kickback scheme, authorities announced. On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Nassau County District Attorney announced that 58-year-old Glen Head resident Angelo Stanco, along with his Glen Cove company American Paving & Masonry Corp., were arraigned on charges including grand larceny for their alleged wage theft scheme. New Principal Announced At This Long Island School A Long Island school has appointed a principal just in time for the new school year, school officials announced. On Monday, Sept. 11, the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District announced that Melissa Argaman was appointed as the new principal of Oyster Bay High School. DWI Crackdown: Over 500 Tickets Issued To Long Island Drivers Labor Day Weekend, Police Say Hundreds of Long Island drivers were issued tickets during the holiday weekend as part of a statewide crackdown on distracted and dangerous driving, police said. Alert Issued For Missing Teen Last Spotted On Long Island Police are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a missing Long Island teenager. Aylin Torres, age 15, was last seen on Saturday, Sept. 9 in Farmingdale, according to Nassau County Police.
