Cat's Outta The...Fence? Feline Rescued On Long Island A scared Long Island cat who got caught in a metal fence was freed thanks to the quick actions of authorities. The incident happened on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Franklin Square. According to the Nassau County Police, it was around 2:15 p.m. when they received a call about a cat that had gotten its head stuck in a metal fence on Floral Park Road. Seen Him? Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Teen Authorities have issued an alert for a missing Long Island teenager who has been missing for over three days. Carmello Edmonds, age 17, went missing from Riverhead on Thursday, Oct. 5, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. When he was last seen, he was wearing a black shirt, black sweatshirt, black jeans, and black sneakers. Edmonds is described as 5-foot-10 with black hair and brown eyes. Attempted Kidnapping: 7-Year-Old Long Island Boy Targeted By Duo, Police Say Police are searching for a duo who seemingly attempted to kidnap a young Long Island boy in front of his home. It happened on Sunday, Oct. 8 in Wantagh, according to Nassau County Police. The boy, age 7, was standing in front of his home on Jerusalem Avenue when, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a gray Buick Enclave drove up to him, driven by a man. Fentanyl, Cocaine, Crack: Trio Caught After String Of Long Island Drug Sales, Police Say Three alleged drug dealers were taken into custody after police discovered they were behind a string of fentanyl and cocaine sales on Long Island. On Friday, Oct. 6, Nassau County Police arrested the following people, all Island Park residents: Robert Stockdale, age 38; Christine Lyons, age 40; Joseph Zimatore, age 58. Group Punches Employees At Long Island Mall, Police Say Authorities are searching for a gaggle of men who caused havoc at a Long Island mall kiosk, punching employees and causing damage to the kiosk. Woman Caught With Loaded Gun During Long Island Traffic Stop A 26-year-old woman originally pulled over for driving without headlights soon found herself in custody when police say they found a loaded Glock in her car. It happened on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Roosevelt, according to Nassau County Police. $108K Scam: Long Island Bank Employee Ran Check Scheme, Police Say A Long Island woman was arrested after she used her position as a bank employee to pull off a hundred-thousand-dollar scam. Cricel A. Santamaria, age 24, was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 3 for the crime she allegedly committed while working at a Jericho bank, according to Nassau County Police.
