Ex-lirr Employee Admits Faking Report, Leading To Crash: US Attorney A man who worked for the Long Island Railroad has pleaded guilty for his role in a fake inspection report that ended up in a train derailment, officials announced. Stuart Conklin, age 66 of Magnolia, Texas, entered his guilty plea on Friday, Dec. 1 for submitting a false inspection report during his time as a LIRR worker, the US Attorney’s Eastern District of New York Office said. Man Barricaded Inside Long Island House Charged With Rape, Assault A Long Island man has been arrested on charges including rape following a standoff with police.
