Robber Uses Flat Tire To Steal $55K On Long Island: Police Police are searching for a suspected robber on the loose after $55,000 was stolen from a man’s vehicle in a Long Island parking lot. It happened on Thursday, Aug. 10 at approximately 11:55 a.m. in Oceanside, according to Nassau County Police. Man Nabbed For Driving With Wrong Plates, No Valid License In Darien: Police A Connecticut man was caught red-handed by police who say he was, among other charges, driving a vehicle that had another person’s license plate. It happened on Thursday, Aug. 3 at approximately 5:10 p.m. in Darien, according to the Darien Police Department.
