Capital District Father, Son Indicted For Cocaine Conspiracy A father and son from the Capital District are facing years in prison for allegedly trafficking in cocaine. Jeffrey Civitello Sr., age 50, and Jeffrey Civitello Jr., age 22, both of Schenectady, were indicted on federal charges of trafficking kilograms of cocaine, according to the US Attorney’s Office in the North District. Federal prosecutors claim the duo worked with others to traffic more than 5 kilograms of the drug to Schenectady in March and April 2021. Western Mass Man Indicted For Sex Trafficking Minor A man from Western Massachusetts is accused of prostituting a minor. Hampden County resident Carlos Casillas, age 48, of Springfield, was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of sex trafficking a minor, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. Investigators said Casillas caused a child under the age of 18 to engage in a commerical sex act in West Springfield in September 2021. Woman Suffers Medical Emergency, Crashes Car On Long Island A woman is recovering after suffering an apparent medical emergency and crashing her car on Long Island. Emergency crews found the vehicle crashed on Roxbury Lane in Levittown at around 7:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, Nassau County Police said. Man Found Shot To Death In Capital District Authorities are trying to determine what led up to a fatal shooting in the Capital District. Police were called to an Albany home near Quail and Second streets with reports of a shooting shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday, May 26.
