Five Nabbed For Prostitution After Detail At Hotel In Hudson Valley Five people have been arrested following a prostitution bust at a hotel in the region. All five suspects were apprehended in Dutchess County Wednesday, April 27, in the Town of Fishkill after local and state police targeted prostitution and other illegal activity at the Extended Stay America on West Merritt Boulevard, Fishkill Police said. In addition to the prostitution charges, some were also busted for criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Police did not release the names of those charged. Man Accused Of Calling In Bomb Threat To Yale New Haven Hospital A man who police say threatened to bomb the Yale New Haven Hospital has been arrested. Alexander Bradley, age 42, of Cranston, Rhode Island, was taken into custody Thursday, April 28, on federal charges of conveying false information about explosives, according to the US Attorney’s Office. It came nearly a year after he allegedly called the hospital and told an employee he had placed a pressure cooker containing a bomb outside of the building, prosecutors said. Long Island Armed Robber Demands Victim's Scooter, Cash, Police Say Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Long Island. The victim, age 32, told police he was walking in Riverhead near West Main Street and Griffing Avenue at around 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, when a man pulled him into an alley and tried taking his electric scooter, Riverhead Police said. Man Wanted For Stealing Guns, Safe During Long Island Home Burglary Police are asking for the public’s help after a Long Island family’s home was burglarized. Suffolk County Police said the break-in happened Friday, April 22, at the Brookhaven residence, located on Hargrove Drive in Stony Brook. Sometime between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., the suspect got into the house by removing a window screen, police said. State Mishandled Domestic Violence Case Before Worker's Murder, Investigation Finds State agencies failed to follow their own domestic violence policies before a state worker was murdered, according to a new report from the New York State Inspector General’s office. Recall Issued For Polaris Recreational Off-Road Vehicles Due To Fire Hazard Polaris is recalling two of its off-road vehicles over concerns they may pose a fire danger, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. The recall affects certain VINs of the company’s 2022 RZR Pro 4 Premium and Ultimate vehicles. Man Sentenced For Bringing Gun To Albany International Airport A Capital Region man is heading to federal prison for attempting to bring a loaded handgun onto a plane at Albany International Airport. Josef Jarvis, age 32, of Albany, was sentenced to nearly four years behind bars Thursday, April 28, after pleading guilty to illegally carrying a firearm as a felon. Federal prosecutors said Jarvis admitted to possessing the loaded gun and ammunition while attempting to pass through a security checkpoint before boarding a flight in August 2021. Dog Found Dead In Area Park, Police Asking For Tips Police are investigating after a dog was found dead in a Schenectady park. The heartbreaking discovery was made at around 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Central Park, Schenectady police said in a statement. A park-goer found the dog’s body wrapped in a blanket and immediately called 911. Schenectady police and an Animal Control officer were dispatched to the scene.
