Capital District Man Accused Of Raping Child A man from the region is behind bars, accused of raping a child. Columbia County resident Misael Chun Pastor, age 36, of Kinderhook, was arrested Thursday, May 5, on numerous charges, New York State Police said. Among them are predatory sexual assault against a child in the first degree, a felony. Following a tip, investigators determined that Chun Pastor had sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 on multiple occasions, police said. Stratford Man Accused Of Victimizing Girls For Sex Through Snapchat A Fairfield County man is facing serious prison time for allegedly using social media apps to target underage girls for sex. Alexander Dilella, age 22, of Stratford, was arrested Wednesday, May 4, on multiple federal charges related to child exploitation, the US Attorney’s Office said. Federal prosecutors claim Dilella communicated with the girls - some as young as 13 or 14 - using Snapchat, Omegle, and FaceTime and enticed them to engage in illegal sexual activity. Man Wanted For Stealing Liquor From Cortlandt Store, Police Say Police need the public’s help identifying the man accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of liquor from a Westchester County store. The incident happened Monday, April 18 at the Wine and Liquors store on Main Street in Cortlandt. The man walked into the store at around 1:45 p.m. before making off with the pricey haul, New York State Police said. 25-Year-Old Killed After Vehicle Crashes Down Embankment In Capital District A man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle while fleeing from troopers in the Capital District, New York State Police said. Troopers attempted to stop the man for speeding on I-88 in Schoharie at around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, but he took off, police said. The trooper deactivated their emergency lights and eventually lost sight of the driver. Suspect Nabbed In Connection To Fatal Shooting In Capital District A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting in Albany. Douglas Bynum, age 40, was arrested Thursday, May 5, at Albany Medical Center Hospital, Albany Police said. Capital District Felon Admits To Illegally Possessing Gun While Live-Streaming A Capital District man is facing years behind bars after admitting to illegally possessing a loaded gun while live-streaming on social media. Thomas Hendricks Jr., age 40, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty Tuesday, May 3, to illegally possessing the loaded pistol as a felon, the US Attorney’s Office said. Albany Jewish Community Center Evacuated After Bomb Threat The Albany Jewish Community Center was briefly evacuated Wednesday, May 4, over a bomb threat. Albany Police said the threat came in early Wednesday morning via email. Officers and K-9’s searched the building on Whitehall Road, but found nothing to indicate the threat was authentic, police said. In a post on Facebook, the JCC said it was delaying opening until 9 a.m. Police said they're working with the FBI field office in Albany to investigate the threat. Greenwich Resident Sentenced For Defrauding Investors, Ordered To Pay $1.5M A man from Fairfield County will spend three years in federal prison for defrauding investors. Samuel Klein, age 66, of Greenwich, was sentenced to 36 months behind bars Tuesday, May 3. It followed a guilty plea in which Klein admitted to making false representations to an investor in his company, Visual Group LLC, in 2018, the US Attorney’s Office said.
