Abandoned Dog Tied To Pole In NJ Town: Police Police are investigating after a dog was found tied to a pole near a Union County park. Cranford police shared a photo of the dog, who appears to be a pitbull, along with a cardboard sign that reads: "Name: Zeus. NOT rabid. No biting. Need a home." Zeus was found Thursday, Feb. 15 tied to a pole on Lexington Avenue near Unami Park, police said. Anyone who knows the owner or who has information on Zeus is urged to call police at 908-272-2222 and ask for D/Lt. Durkin. The dog is safe in a shelter, police said.

Jason Emeric Brunsman, of Occoquan, rear-ended a roll back dumpster Wednesday, Feb. 14 at approximately 6:25 a.m. on Richmond Highway at Giles Run Road in Lorton, county police said. Man Killed By Car In Fairfax County A man was struck and killed by a car early Thursday, Feb. 15 in Fairfax County, police said. The crash happened at Route 1 and Huntington Avenue in Belle Haven, police reported around 7:30 a.m. The man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.
