PA Dad Admits To Killing 2-Month-Old Son: DA A 25-year-old dad has pleaded guilty to killing his infant son, authorities say.  Daryl Carletto Brown underwent a mental evaluation in connection with the Oct. 14, 2020 death of his 2-month-old son, but ultimately on Aug. 21 a negotiated plea deal was approved, according to the court documents.  The boy’s mom had left her son with Daryl in their home in 100 block of West Jackson Street, documents show.  That's when Daryl violently bounced the baby on his leg because the child "wouldn't shut up," he told police, as stated in the affidavit.  The baby was taken to P…

Kids Bike Helmets Recalled For 'Risk Of Head Injury,' Cpsc Says These helmets had one job — to keep kids safe — and they failed to do it, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. Ecnup Kids Bike Helmets failed to comply with basic federal safety requirements "for coverage, positional stability, and labeling," according to the recall notice issued on Aug. 24, 2023.  CPSC noted that "the helmets can fail to protect in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury." When they arrived the man's father shared that his son was inside and was armed, the police explained in the release. Man ID'd After House Fire, Carbon Monoxide: Northampton County Coroner A 42-year-old man has been identified following a house fire, authorities announced late on Wednesday.  Al-Malik Hakam Walker of the 900 block of Glendon Ave, Easton was found dead in his home following the fire on Tuesday, Aug. 22, the Northampton County Coroner’s Office detailed in a release.  His "cause of death was Carbon Monoxide Toxicity and Smoke Inhalation, and the manner of death is pending the completion of the fire investigation," Coroner Zachary R. Woman Found Dead After House Fire: York County Coroner (Update) A 59-year-old woman died in a house fire in York on Wednesday, authorities say.  The fire broke out at a home in the 4500 block of Hikey Street near Regal and Amy avenues in Dover Township, according to emergency dispatchers.  Emergency dispatch was alerted to the fire at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23.  Police officers did not find an active fire when they arrived at the home, but it did appear that one had occurred and been put out, according to the coroner's release.
