Trolley Fire Forces Evacuation At PA Dairy Farm: Police Nearly two dozen passengers were on a tour trolley that caught fire on Thursday, police announced on Monday. A Kreider Dairy Farms Tour Trolley was loaded up with passengers when the driver, a farm employee, noticed a malfunctioning problem causing a fire in the trolley's engine compartment while driving in the 1200 block of Lancaster Road, the Northern Lancaster Regional Police explained in a release on Aug. 28. PA Convict Slashes Roommate In Chest, Neck With Kitchen Knife, Police Say A roommate was slashed across his neck and chest by a man supposedly on drugs just before midnight on Sunday, authorities announced the following day. Lee Allen Payne was in front of his home in the 100 block of North Pitt Street, Carlisle when the police arrived at 11:55 p.m. on Aug. 27, the department detailed in the release. The Carlisle PD was called by Payne's roommate due to his "drug activity," as stated in the release. Firetruck Crashes On Way To Fire In Central PA While heading to literally put out a fire — a firetruck was involved in a crash. The North Middleton Fire Company engine 39 (pictured) was involved in a traffic accident around 8:44 p.m. Saturday, 26, 2023, according to a release by the company. Restaurant Stabbing Calls Police To Central PA Hospital A stabbing at a restaurant sent police to an area hospital. Essence Fatima McGhie was arrested at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 6 in connection with a stabbing following a fight outside Villa Nova at 1310 Harrisburg Pike, the Manheim Township police detailed in a release late in the month.
