She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Crash Destroys FedEx Tractor-Trailer On Busy Roadway In Region A driver managed to escape severe injuries during a crash of a FedEx tractor-trailer. The crash took place in Sullivan County in the town of Thompson on Route 17 around 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 30. According to the Rock Hill Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own and was immediately transported to the hospital by Mobile medic EMS with non-life-threatening injuries. The department was assisted by: New York State Police, State Department of Transportation, Mobile medic EMS, Rock Hill EMS Prestige Towing.

Two Nabbed For Burglary Of Long Island Home, Police Say Two people were arrested for alleged burglary after a Long Island resident came home to find a woman walking out of her house with her personal belonging and jumped in a vehicle with a man and made a getaway. The burglary took place in Levittown around 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, on Violet Lane. CT Man Charged With Sexual Assault For Allegedly Touching Police Officer's Breast During Arrest A Connecticut man was arrested for allegedly touching a female police officer's breast while he was being detained for drunk driving. Hartford County resident Israel Sanchez-Vilchis, age 44, of New Britain, turned himself in to police on Monday, Aug. 29. According to Sgt. Mark N. CT Man Wanted For Masturbating On Trails While Skateboarding Apprehended, Police Say A Connecticut man wanted for exposing himself and masturbating while skateboarding to trail walkers has been nabbed by police. Impaired CT Woman Caught Driving Wrong Way In Construction Zone, Police Say A Connecticut woman was busted allegedly driving drunk or high on drugs in the wrong direction in a construction zone on Route 9. The incident took place in Farmington around 12:40 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 31. 'Where Is Mr. Dougherty?': Long Island HS Students Walk Out Over Absence Of Popular Principal Students at one Long Island high school spent the first day of school holding a walkout to protest the disappearance of their beloved principal. Those students were upset after being told this week that the principal of Elmont Memorial High School, Kevin Dougherty, or "Doc" would not be returning this year. Know Him? Man Wanted For Multiple Stamford Break-Ins, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man wanted for multiple break-ins. The break-ins occurred in Stamford between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29. According to Sgt. Sean Scanlan, of the Stamford Police, the person entered multiple units at 18 Vernon Place taking cash and miscellaneous items. Man Who Tried To Jump From Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge Arrested For Murder, Police Say A Hudson Valley man who had attempted to jump from a bridge has been arrested for allegedly killing a woman whose body was found in a wooded area. Johnny Amaro, age 49, of the town of Ulster, was arrested and charged with felony murder around 11:45 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1. According to Chief Kyle Berardi, of the Ulster Police Department, on Thursday around 8:20 a.m., officers were notified of a dead woman in a wooded area off the Eastern Parkway in the town of Ulster. Police Seeking Help Identifying Long Island Robbery Suspects Police on Long Island are seeking the public's help identifying four women who allegedly attacked a store employee with a chemical spray and then stole vape pens. The incident took place in Inwood around 5:50 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
