An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Hundreds Of Westchester Students Take Part In Anti-Opioid Summit More than 400 Westchester students want to be part of the solution in fighting the opioid epidemic. The county held a summit at the Westchester County Center on Monday, featuring a talk from BMX racer Tony Hoffman, a recovering heroin addict. Students from 37 schools took part in the day-long summit. The opioid epidemic caused a 200 percent increase in fatalities in Westchester from 2010-2015. Yorktown Opening Indoor Farmers Market YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Just because the temperatures are dropping doesn't mean there are no more farmers markets. The Yorktown Farmers Market will be running its winter farmers market starting Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Jefferson Valley Mall. The farmers market will be indoors at the mall until March 31. Molinaro Considering Gubernatorial Challenge To Cuomo With Assemblyman As he considers a run for governor, Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro might have finally found his running mate. Molinaro said Monday he is considering teaming up with Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb (R-Canandaigua) to challenge Governor Andrew Cuomo on the Republican ticket next year.
