Yorktown Teen Exposes Himself At Club Fit, Police Say A 16-year-old Yorktown resident was arrested and charged after police say he exposed himself to a patron in a lewd manner at Club Fit in Jefferson Valley on Wednesday. The teen, whose name is being withheld due to his eligibility for his youthful offender status, was charged with public lewdness, a Class B misdemeanor, and criminal trespass in the third degree, a Class B misdemeanor. On Friday, the teen came to Yorktown Police Department and was placed under arrest. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Oct. 26.

Yorktown Man Allows Dogs To Run At Large, Police Say For the second time this year, a Yorktown man has been issued a criminal summons because of his dogs. Ivan Mintah was issued two criminal summons for allowing his dogs to run at large, a violation of town code.  Mintah's dogs were running around the backyard of a Hickory Street residence, prompting a complaint. In August, Mintah was issued four criminal summons for allegedly owning four dogs were not licensed to the town of Yorktown. Mintah is due back in court on Oct. 10.

Stepinac 5K Run Raises $14,000 WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Stepinac High School once again lent a helping hand to the American Cancer Society and its sports program. The annual 5K Family Fun Run raised $14,000, with $1,500 going to the American Cancer Society. The race was organized by the Stepinac Lady Crusaders. One-mile race winners were Stepinac student Timmy Cleary of White Plains who captured first place in the male category at 4:41 while Maeve Briton of White Plains took the top female spot at 5:44. Shared Services Could Save Westchester Taxpayers Millions Sharing services could save Westchester taxpayers $6 million over the next few years. County Executive Rob Astorino outlined the county's shared services plan at the Fire Training Center in Valhalla, joined by 50 career firefighters.
