Life Will Be A Cabaret At Arts Boosters' 'Encore Cabaret IV' In Lewisboro
LEWISBORO, N.Y. – ArtsALIVE!, the Katonah-Lewisboro arts booster club , will present “Encore Cabaret IV” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, at John Jay High School in Cross River.
A collaboration of the school’s alumni and current students, the event’s theme is “Tony Award Winning Musicals.”
Directing will be Andre Catrini, John Jay Class of ’07. Tomm Polos, Class of ’06, will be master of ceremonies.
Alison Shearer, an accomplished saxophonist, will lead the band. Dave Walsh is technical director.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students; seniors are free.

Retired Ramapo Police Chief Tops Highest Paid List Of Local Workers
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo’s former police chief has topped a list of the state’s highest paid local workers, according to a report on lohud.com.
Peter Brower, who retired in September, had earned $369,088 in the last fiscal year, putting him at the top of a list of 50 highest paid workers, lohud.com reported.
The list was compiled by Empire Center, a conservative think tank, the report said.
Of those on the list, lohud.com reported, 40 were police officers, 24 of whom worked for Nassau County.

Marist President Among Highest Paid University Executives, Survey Finds
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Marist’s Dennis J. Murray is among the highest paid college presidents in the country, according to a report in The Poughkeepsie Journal.
Murray, the 67th highest paid, according to a survey of 497 institutions conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education, made $775,446 in 2013, the newspaper reported. The average private college president at that time made $436,429, the report said.
The Journal also reported that Vassar College president Catharine Bond Hill (Poughkeepsie) and Bard College president Leon Botstein (Annandale-on-Hudson) made it into the top half of the…
