Bridgeport Zoo Seeks Teen Applicants For Conservation Discovery Corps BRIDGEPORT, CONN. -- The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport is seeking applicants for its hands-on conservation and education program. The Conservation Discovery Corps, is, the zoo said, a “citizen-science-based” initiative that gives local teenagers real conservation training and an “inside perspective” on the zoo and its 300 or so occupants. Among the species currently at the zoo are: red pandas, giant anteaters, Amur (Siberian) tigers, Brazilian ocelots, red wolves, and Golden Lion tamarins.
