Ex-Tugboat Worker Sues Tappan Zee Builders, Claims Spinal Injuries A member of a tugboat crew, who says he was injured while securing a barge, has sued the contractors building the new Tappan Zee Bridge, according to lohud. Richard Downing, in a lawsuit filed in federal court in White Plains against Tappan Zee Constructors and Traylor Brothers, alleges that he suffered paralyzing spinal injuries after being ordered to moor the barge during a storm last year, the lohud story said.
