Hillburn's Ex-Deputy Mayor Wants Back On Village Board
RAMAPO, N.Y. -- It’s déjà vu all over again in Hillburn -- a former village trustee has thrown his hat back in the ring, according to a report by lohud.com.
You might need a scorecard to keep track but basically, the lohud.com article said, Thomas Scott is challenging incumbent Bonnie O’Blenis in the March 15 Village Board elections.
Scott, the former deputy mayor who stepped in when O’Blenis resigned in 2010, won the seat in 2011 and then lost it in 2013 to Eleanor DeGraw, the lohud.com article said.

Wesleyan Football Player Pleads Guilty In Synthetic Drug Overdose Case
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Wesleyan University football player pleaded guilty Tuesday to passing around a synthetic drug that nearly killed a fellow student, said Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for Connecticut.
Ryan Welch, 22, of Salem, Mass., pleaded guilty to distributing 2C-B, a psychedelic drug that first gained popularity as an Ecstasy replacement in the mid-1980s.
Daly said Welch gave the drug to 15 or 20 members of his team in 2015 at the Middletown college.
