Driver Faces Drug Possession Charges, Ramapo Police Say RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo police, investigating a report of a suspicious car, say they charged the driver with possession of marijuana. Police say they found the car parked on Sima Lane in Chestnut Ridge earlier this week. There were four men in the car, police said. Monsey Man Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend, Ramapo Police Say RAMAPO, N.Y. – A 24-year-old Monsey man is facing assault charges in connection with a domestic violence incident, Ramapo police said. Police said they responded to a medical call on Friday, April 22, and arrested the victim’s live-in boyfriend. Police also said they investigated seven car accidents at the following locations: Viola Road, Viola (1); Hoover Lane, New Hempstead (1); Horton Drive, Monsey (1); . Saddle River Road, Monsey (2); and Route 59, Monsey (2). They answered a total of 113 calls for service Friday, including: four medical emergencies, 10 fires, and 13 alarm activations.
