New York Times Reviews Port Chester's Piccolo Italian Gourmet
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Piccolo Italian Gourmet, a restaurant in Port Chester which opened in 2015, has loads of promise, but needs to tune up its service a bit, according to a review in The New York Times.
Chef Stefano Gentili, a native of Rome, honors his heritage with pasta dishes such as Lasagna Boscaiola and appetizers like a Crispy Artichoke Fritti in pesto sauce, according to The New York Times review.

Cortlandt Announces Concert, Movie Series Schedule
VERPLANCK, N.Y. -- The Town of Cortlandt has released the schedule for its free concert and movie series at its waterfront park in Verplanck.
Concerts will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, while the movies start at 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
The concerts, and their dates, are:
May 26: McLean Avenue Band (Irish-Celtic).
June 30: Flashback (oldies with Jimmy Russo, Butch Barbella, Mike Annunziato).
July 7: F.D.R. Drive Band (New York party band).
July 28: Soul Fusion (Motown, R&B, Soul).

Black Bear Sightings Reported In Rockland, Police Say
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- In the spring, does a young bear’s fancy turns to thoughts of love?
Not necessarily, say Clarkstown police -- it’s more likely garbage that bruins want as the weather warms up.
Police said Thursday that they have received several sightings of wandering black bears in the central Nyack area.
