Cancer Fundraiser At North Salem Swim Club Nets $14K NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Swimmers splashed down Sunday at Lakeside Field Club in North Salem to raise money for cancer research and support services.The Swim Across America event featured 53 swimmers, who raised more than $13,500. The Team Lakeside Swim and Dive Club raised more than $5,000. Top individual fundraisers were Cassie Pelosi in the half-mile swim and Sophia Bucaj in the mile swim. Bucaj raised $1,440, while Scott Reilley raised $1,325. Pelosi raised $1,155 according to the SAA website. A barbecue followed the afternoon swim.

Wootton, who now lives in Chicago, cited a desire to spend more time with his family. He and his wife, Felicia, have a one-year-old daughter.
