Lewisboro Ledger Ends Print Distribution LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- The Lewisboro Ledger weekly newspaper ended print distribution on Wednesday, ending a 39-year run of delivering local news to the community. The HAN Network said on the Ledger website that its website will continue to exist. The Ledger is part of a group that includes 12 weekly newspapers, but is the only one in New York. The other 11 are in Connecticut. Like nearly all newspapers, the Ledger struggled financially in recent years. Verizon Store Robbed Near Yonkers City Line YONKERS, N.Y. -- Thieves snatched a safe from a Verizon store near the Yonkers border on Tuesday, according to a report on News 12. The store is on Riverdale Avenue. at West 259th St. in the Bronx. New York Police Detectives told the television station the suspects pried open the door, got inside and ransacked the safe outside. The thieves took nearly 20 cell phones and other electronics. Officials interviewed store employees and reviewed surveillance videos. They will also be dusting for prints.
