An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Community Supports Family After Child, 7, Dies In Fort Lee High-Rise Plunge The residents of the Fort Lee building where a 7-year-old boy died after falling out of a 21st window on Wednesday, Sept. 13 are coming together to support the grieving family. A fundraiser has been by Hampshire House tenants created to assist the Manzalaoui/Salazar family. As of Tuesday, Sept. 19, more than $35,000 has been raised. Help Find Missing Newark Boy (Look Inside) An 11-year-old Newark boy with a history of running away has been missing since Friday, Sept. 15, police said. Brayden Killings, who was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD was last seen on the 100 block of Badger Ave. at 4:45 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Killings was wearing blue jeans, a red hooded sweatshirt featuring white logos and lettering, and gray and green 5.11 shoes, Fragé said. Fugitive Arrested In Secaucus: Police A 45-year-old Brooklyn resident was arrested on Friday, Sept. 15 in Secaucus after it was discovered there were multiple warrants out for his arrest, authorities said. At 5:25 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Kevin Dadaille was discovered to have a outstanding warrants out of Middlesex County, Pohatcong and in Connecticut, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. Dadaille had been been charged with two counts of larceny in Enfield, Conn. in May. Six-Year-Old Newark Boy With Autism Missing: Police (Look Inside) Alimou Diallo, a 6-year-old Newark boy diagnosed with autism, has been missing since Monday morning, Sept. 18, police said. Diallo was last seen at 2 a.m. in his residence on the 600 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Alimou was wearing a blue t-shirt and a white diaper. Crossing Guard Struck By Vehicle: Bayonne PD A crossing guard was struck by a car after helping kids cross the street on Monday morning, Sept. 18, authorities said. At 8:30 a.m., the 63-year-old crossing guard was hit by a 4-door white sedan on West 56th Street and Avenue C in Bayonne, police said. The crossing guard fell onto the hood of the car before falling to the street, police said. Shelly Widder, 50-Year-Old Fanwood Resident, Dies Months After Husband Shelly Widder, a 50-year-old Fanwood resident, died on Thursday, Sept. 7 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, according to her obituary. Shelly was predeceased by her husband Charles, who died in in April. She is survived by her four children, Charles, 22, Hayden, 20, Colin, 17, and Claire, 15.
