MSU Student Breanna Pifano, 20, Dies Weeks After Suffering Cardiac Event Breanna Pifano, a 20-year-old student at Montclair State University, died on Monday, Sept. 18, after suffering a cardiac event earlier this month, according to her obituary. Breanna was born on Dec. 18, 2002 and was in her third year at MSU studying biology, with aspirations of becoming an optometrist.  A fundraiser was set up to assist the family with medical and funeral expenses. Just Salad, a chain of fast casual salad chain, recently opened a location in Paramus at 370 NJ-17.  Aside from salads, the restaurant serves wraps, bowls, soups, and smoothies. The Paramus location is the company's sixth in the Garden State, joining locations in Hoboken, Totowa Village, Pompton Plains, Morristown and Jersey City.

Bergen County Doughnut Shop Replacing Shuttered Hoboken Indian Spot Dipped Donuts is expanding throughout North Jersey. The donut shop, which opened in Cliffside Park in 2020, announced it is opening Dipped n' Smashed in Hoboken at 91 Washington Street. The restaurant promises to offer build your own donuts, smashed burgers, specialty shakes and hot dogs.  An opening date has not been announced. The restaurant is replacing Curry Up Now, an Indian street food franchise, which had been at the location since early 2020.
