Two State Troopers Injured During Traffic Stop On Route 78: Njsp Two state troopers were hospitalized after their vehicle was struck during a traffic stop in Hunterdon County on the early morning of Sunday, Feb. 25, state police said.  At 2:50 a.m., troopers were conducting a motor vehicle stop on the right shoulder of Route 78 west in Readington Township when the driver of a Toyota lost directional control and sideswiped the police car, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The troopers sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.

13-Year-Old Boy Killed In Newark Car Crash: Prosecutor A 13-year-old boy was killed in a car crash in Newark on the evening of Sunday, Feb. 25, authorities said. The two-crash occurred at 9:41 p.m. at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Montclair Avenue, Thomas Fennelly, chief assistant prosecutor in the homicide and major crimes unit for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said.  The 13-year-old was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash, Fennelly said. The investigation is active and ongoing, Fennelly said.

Kotb is signing copies of her new children's book, "Hope is a Rainbow" on Monday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at Bookends in Ridgewood. The book, meant for kids ages 4 to 8, is about teaching kids to reach for their dreams, whether they are as big as the sky or small as a bowl of a purple ice cream, according to a synopsis.  This is Kotb's third children book.
